How is it different from Shopify Analytics?
Shopify gives you the totals: sales, orders, sessions. Data Explorer starts from the same orders and adds what visitors did: what they viewed, where they stopped and which channels brought them. And you can redo any table for a group of shoppers.
Do the numbers match Shopify?
Orders and sales come from Shopify, so every table adds up to your Shopify orders. An order that cannot be linked to a session is counted under “Unknown”, never left out.
What if some data is missing?
It says so. A number it cannot read is marked as unavailable, never shown as zero and never estimated.
Do I need to set anything up?
No. Install Shopiens and the tables fill in as sessions come in. No tagging and no SQL: sort, filter, open a row, export to CSV.
